Sleep Over At Uncle Ricky's

Ricky's has wanted to take Ashton for a sleepover for a while now, and he finally got to do it. I don't know why but for some odd reason Ashton likes Ricky, I just can't figure out?
Then later in the day Kel's decided she wanted to go and have a sleepover with Alexis, Ricky's daughter.
When we went to drop off Kel's I remembered that Ricky had invited us over for taco with his Mom and Robert. So we ended up staying for dinner, which was nice to not have to feed my own family for once. The kids decided it would be fun to play tag in the freezing backyard. I only stayed long enough to snap a picture.
Thanks Ricky for taking half of the crew, it was a nice break. But I still don't like you all that much.

Grinch Night

Grinch Night is what the elementary school does to celebrate Christmas with the students and there family's, except that you can't say Christmas because it might offend someone. WHATEVER, it is only the day our Savior was born!! Anyways, Kel's sang a song, and boy does she like to be on the spot light.
Kirsten thought she was too cool to go the the elementary school now that she is in middle school.
This picture was tortures, no one wanted to do it, can you tell? To bad I am doing it anyway.
Cute little people.
Marshmallow suite, part of Grinch night is outside, so we had to bundle up.
It was a lot of fun, even though it started to rain which means we didn't participate in the outdoor activities. I almost forgot to put the video on, it is pretty cute.

27 Weeks

Every time I take the baby out of the bath and he is all wrapped up in his baby towel, he looks sooooooo sweet. And that sweet baby grin, I love it!

A Blessing

So as most of you know when I left Kellogg's full time I lost my insurance. I knew this was going to happen and had already got quotes from different company's so that we could transfer it over when I felt in September. However, it was a lot harder to get approved once you submitted all you medical records. I have been stressing about this and my step father Jim offered us something. He offered to pay the remaining balance that we can't afford right now of $630 a month for 6 months. This would be are Christmas gift!! I couldn't feel anymore blessed that this has happened, we really need insurance. Six months will give us time to either find a part time or full time job for me that offers benefits, or just another part time job to help pay the remaining balance, or the stores business pick up.
Since we have got this coverage last week, Daniel already went to the doctor for his ribs and back, not good news by the way. Jackson started to get caught up on his shots and had his 6 month well baby visit. Jackson and Ashton have had there flu shot and me and the girls will go an get ours when school lets out next week.
Jim, Daddy, I just want to say how much this means to Daniel and I. I am so thankful for your gifts, you have blessed us in so many ways. I love you.

It's What's For Dinner

So when I went to the doc the other day he suggested that I just puree what we are eating for dinner to feed to the baby. We were having chuck roast that had been cooking all day with carrots and potatoes in the crock pot. So I pureed them with a hand mixer, after I took this picture I had added some water and blended it a little better so it wasn't so thick. The girls and I sat around the table watching to see if Jackson would like it?
The answer is NO!!!!!
I think maybe because our food has so much more flavor then the jarred food from the store. I felt really bad, the carrots and potatoes were just like the stuff from the stores except it tasted good. I will try it again with different food and see what happens.

Invading Space

This time the baby seems to enjoy Ashton all up in his space, but most of the time not so much.

6 Month Doctor Appointment

I took Jackson in for his six month well baby visit today. Are you ready for this, he is 21 lbs 13 oz and 27 3/4 in long, and his head was 18 in!!! this is Daniel's baby for sure, a mini fathead, lol!! He is in the 97% for his weight and 88% for his height. All is well with the little guy, we will go in when he is 9 months to catch up on his shots.

Bunco Night #3

Bunco night was great, they just keep getting better and better in my opinion. I mesh well with almost everyone, I can be myself and it gives me sometime without any people attached to me, which it nice sometimes. It was pj night, however I do not wear pj's so I just went in some lounge wear so I would fit in. At every bunco so far the host will send you home with something, so this is what we got this month, so cute, Dice Diva's is our groups name.
Donna was the host this month and I would like to stay, you are a brave woman. She just had her baby 12 days ago and she still attended and had us all over to her house. It wouldn't have happened like that if it was me. Good Job Donna. I enjoyed visiting with you. We all miss you SO much.

What Are You Doing In There?

It really wasn't all that fun, and he was totally ashamed that I wanted to take a picture with him still in it. But I am sure it will happen again.

Oh No!! You Hurt The Baby

I was talking on the phone with the baby sitting next to me on the couch, he was propped up on some pillows. The phone rang so I reached over and picked it up and Ashton bit his little sausage finger while I turned my head. However the baby cry's different when he is hurt, so i looked and saw his little finger was red and wet with a tooth mark. Poor baby, if this happens again bad things might happen, lol.

I See You

He thinks no one will notice him getting into the Jelly Belly's , yeah right.

Who Do You Think Is More Comfortable?

Hands down Ashton, Daniel can hardly see the TV.

More Car's

I have been collecting car's characters for Ashton Christmas presents, but after realizing the kids are only getting gifts from Santa now, what was I going to do with them. If I saved till his birthday he may not be interested anymore. So we decided to give them to him while the girls stayed at my patent's house this weekend. He was SO excited to look at every single one for at least 30 seconds while we were opening them. So now we have a total of 84 car's characters, crazy I know. The whole family enjoys looking for the ones we don't have already and we are totally stocked when we find one we have never seen.

Only Boys

Girls do not do this, only boys AND men, I don't get it. I find him this way often, so clearly it is comforting, I think.

26 Weeks

Jackson today spouted another new tooth right next to the first one. It is till to small to catch on film, but I wanted to make note of it.

Baby Giggles

I love to hear our little baby laugh.

Not Yet But Almost

Jackson wants to sit up so bad, but we still are practicing. Right now his belly is propping him up.

Ashton's Imitation Of Daddy

So as you can see Ashton has picked up on what he sees his Daddy doing. Daniel back was really bothering him the day Ashton was doing all the imitating, I thought it was funny myself, Daniel didn't think so much. Sorry the video is a dark, the front really has poor lighting at night.

Here Is The Toofie

The picture is a little blurry but you can see his little toofie (and his double chin), isn't it so sweet.

Jelly Belly Holiday Gift Basket

Ashton totally knows what Jelly Belly's logo looks like. I wish I could get a little clip of him saying it, it is pretty sweet. All the kids had there own weird way of saying Jelly Belly, but you can really tell what he is saying. We get this basket simply because someone at Jelly Belly loves us so much. Grandma Lisa of course, thank you SO MUCH, we always enjoy getting some of your treats. Miss you so much, can't wait to see you this weekend.

Paper Snowflakes

I found a link with paper snowflake templates when I was blog hopping, so me and some little people tried them out this afternoon. It was fun, messy fun.
Kelsey and I hung all of our creations on the front windows, it really feels like winter now.

Little Ginger People

These are my little ginger people that Donna made last year. They are so cute but I couldn't think of were to put them so that someone under 4 feet tall couldn't get them. So I ended up stringing them over the sink on some wrapping ribbon. I would have loved some of that really fancy ribbon, but that was all I had on hand. Don't you just want to eat them up. I think I am missing one though, maybe someone already ate him, oops.

The Christmas Spirit

After decorating the tree and playing Christmas music everyone seemed to be in a different mood. They all wanted hot cocoa, and wanted to watch a movie. Since are selection doesn't have very many Christmas movies it was the Elf or Grinch, we went with Grinch for Ashton's sake. Everyone went to bed WAY to late, but oh well, we had a good time.
Our little buddy is behind that cup Daniel is holding, what is so cute is I told them all to hold up there cups and he did too. Good times, good times.

Oh Christmas Tree...

oh Christmas tree you are finally done! This is the first time ever that I let the kids decorate the tree. Normally I do it all simply because that was always how it was when I was growing up. My brother and I would hang an ornament up then Mom would move it because it was in the wrong spot, whatever, so it took a lot to let that go. Now that I let it be different it feels good, I think I am over it now. I am interested to see how many ornament's break with my little guy around, he was being really good tonight however none of us left the room, it may be different when I go to the bathroom for a minute. Don't let this picture fool you, he is just thinking really hard which one he wants to snag first, trust me.
I had the girls put all the really breakable ornament's on the top, so at least I wont cry if he breaks one. So this is the tree, kid decorated and all.

Thanks Stranger

I love to blog hop is what I call it, it is when you go to someones blog you know, then hop to another blog from there's and just keep hopping around. And before you know it, you are somewhere and you aren't even sure how you got there. Like when you are driving around and your lost but you just keep turning around corners, like that. Anyways what I was getting at is I saw this BWildered blog on Donna's and Teresa's and started to look at it, all the time. So I finally confessed on one of her post that I was a blog stocker. So today she did a post that had her signature, so I copied her and got my own, and I found this cool free background site Shels Scrap's. I finally found a background that I am happy with, enough with changing it every couple days. Thanks Bree (to be honest I don't even know what her first name really is, I only know it is Bree because of the signature thing, but I do know about her stay in SF and her new car?), I really like your blog, thanks.
P.S. It was a challenge for me to get this signature and background installed, it is a little different then the others that I have found. So really appreciate it, it took a lot of brain power.

My New Best Friend

The last two night's are dinner has came out of the crock pot, my new best friend. Chicken and dumplings last night and tonight a whole chicken, 4 lbs feeds the whole family. It was so tender it fell apart as soon as I touched it and was really juicy, yummy. Then a quick batch of homemade mashed potatoes and some green beans, that's what I am talking about. Really quick but really good.
This is Daddy's plate and Daddy portions.

"Help Mommy"

All I heard was "Help Mommy". "Ok, hang on", literally, I still had to take a picture.

Time Away

It seems pretty pitiful that I consider going to the grocery store by myself time away, but these days it is a big treat.I left at 8:00 p.m. so it was just about bedtime for everyone. When I left Kirsten was suppose to do a few things for me, she owed me a favor for taking her homework to school so that she didn't get detention which she then would get grounded. Anyways, not all requests were made because when I got home
the baby didn't have his pj's on, and he wasn't in his bed,
Ashton didn't have pj's on either and he was in MY bed.
What can I say, she is only 10. Then, when all the fun time away is over I have to put all this stuff away, yuck.

Congratulations!!

Donna and Brian Congratulations on the new addition, Jaiden Daniel.

A Little Toofie

A toofie is a tooth, duh. Our little baby had his first pop threw a couple of days ago, on the bottom right side. I have been trying so hard to get a picture with my slow point and shoot, but no success yet. I will surly post it when I do get one.

25 Weeks Old

Oddly enough this is how Jackson likes to fall asleep. At first when he kept getting the nite nite on his face it was making us nervous, until we realized he was trying to put it on there. He breathes differently and kicks his legs around like he cant breathe. If you take it off he will put it right back on, and lately he will cry if he doesn't have it. So we just leave it on him and I remove when he is asleep. Ashton did the same thing when he was a wee little guy, those crazy thumb sucking little baby's.

He Can't See The Resembalnce..

But I can. Even in this one he told me to retake, the eyebrows are the same, the chin, the little smirk, the big eyes, the round abll on the end of his nose. He must be blind not to see himself in that baby, don't you think?
All I have to say is Ditto!!

I Failed To Mention An Important Date

One of the most important dates in our lives. Daniel has been clean now for 10 YEARS!!! I remember the days leading up too it, they were some of the hardest we have had. I had decided that it wasn't a good idea to be with Daniel in his state, especially since I had Kirsten, she was almost one at the time. Daniels Aunt had taken him to this place called Victory Outreach in Fairfield Ca. It was a men's home were people that were having addiction problems would go and learn who Jesus is and get clean. At the time Daniel was just not ready to go, but he knew that it was there just in case he changed his mind. Daniel was experiencing some crazy things in his life and contemplating doing some bad things. At that time he said a prayer, "God if you are real show me now, and I will stop everything and go in the men's home", at that time Daniel felt the Holy Spirit inside and knew it was him and stopped what he was doing. He called me on a pay phone crying, "I am ready this time", I then said "yeah right, you always say that", "no really, I am ready", "ok, I will be there in a few minutes". I drove down to were he was staying at that time, it was a pop up trailer that was on the side of the building were he worked, his boss was letting him stay there since he was homeless. I picked him up, he got in the car and started to cry uncontrollably, "take me there, I am ready", "ok I will". We drove to the men's home, the car was very quite, so much had happened in the days prior that I was still upset. Once I pulled up to the house he said,"I don't know if I am ready", in a crackled voice about to cry I said pointing my finger towards the house "go! it is time". He then was crying again, and hugged me so tight saying "I love you and Kirsten so much, I want to do this, bye". September 23, 1998. That was the day Daniel said goodbye to meth and became a child of God. That day the paths of our lives changed, if this never happened I wouldn't be were I am today. Thank you baby for being strong, thank you Jesus for forgiving my husband and giving him the choice of life. "I love you so much Baby, he are such a wonderful man, and you are continuing to grow and learn. 10 YEARS!!!! WOW YOU ROCK!!! If any of you have a chance to talk about this with Daniel, his testimony, it is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever heard and recommend you to listen. This kind of story is the kind that can change a life. For a long time Daniel didn't want people to know about it, but now he is proud to share it.

Backgrounds Are Like Bathing Suits

It is true, you know when you are looking threw the racks and all the suits you think you wont like on the hanger you end up liking on. Well let me say I have had a really hard time finding a background that I like for Christmas, I tried on at least 12 and I am not happy about any of them. I settled for another one today, I bet I will change after a few days, but oh well, at least they are free huh. Oh by the way, I really haven't bought any swim wear for about 4 years, but that used to be the case.
