Mom, It Is Not Christmas Yet

So for those of you that are very observant you can see some small white lights in the background on the previous post. Is that a Christmas tree, well yes it is, it has actually been up since last weekend. Why you ask, there is a good reason I swear. Last year I decided to buy a fake tree, I was tired of buying trees that die before it is even Christmas and they are like $200 and plus, one year I put it on the porch before it was even Christmas it bothered me so much. We bought one from Sam's for $275, so I felt like it was a wise choice. However last year was a hard year for me, I was very busy at work and pregnant, and it seemed like I was comatose most of the time. We put up the tree but NEVER decorated it, well except with the stuff the kids made at Donna's. Horrible I know, but it was way to stressful to just be living life at that time so it what not going to happen. Anyways, the bad thing about fake trees is you have to store them for 11 months. This darn tree has been in my way all year long. So as I was cleaning the garage last weekend I thought, what the heck it is only a couple weeks away of me putting this up anyways, it is going in. Maybe I will have a better chance of getting it all done this year, lol. I told the girls it is Christmas in Wal-Mart already why can't it be at our house too.

So you actually think it will decorated this year if you put up a few weeks early? Makes sense to me...But real trees feel more like Christmas.

HAHAHAH The Walmart comment made me laugh so hard. You are so right, it was Christmas in Walmart on November 1st so I think it's ok fo it to be christmas at home too. Trust me, is I didn't have company coming for Thanksgiving I would have mine up already too. Last year Donna and I were putting mine up Thanksgiving night after we cooked all day, cleaned all the dishes and got all of the kids in bed. What did the men do? you aks... They were watching a movie :0)
