Dinner With Dad And Eric

I took a little drive to Rocklin while the girls were at cheer practice to deliver my camcorder to my brother Eric to barrow while he is on vacation. He is driving to see my Mom and taking the scenic route and wanted to catch some on camera. I had fun with you guys, I hope you have a fun and SAFE trip Eric-e-bo (nickname?). Don't you love the picture of Ashton just barely getting any water out of his bent straw, and please, we offered to help but NO he can do it by himself.

Old Bloopers

I love love love to look at old pictures on the computer. I found these bloopers, some are from before Ashton was born, I thougt I would share. My husband just can't hold back, silly boy.

Countdown

This is an official countdown to when my Mommy is coming to CA. She recently moved to South Dakota and boy do I really miss her. When she lived here in CA if we wanted to see her we just went to her house, well now she is so far away we can't just go see her. It is a big ordeal now to arrange a visit, I hate it. My mom is one of my best friends (runner up behind my hubby) and sometimes it just makes me want to cry. However I normally talk to my Mom at least 3 times a day, most of the time more. It does make me feel better, but it is just not the same knowing that the option to see her isn't there. So she will be at MY HOUSE in 9 days. I am really excited to see her, (I am excited to see you Mommy. can't wait).

WHY!!!

What is it that makes a little kid want to put there hand in their diaper, and with poop in it of all times? Is it because it feels weird, smells funny, they really want to take a bath but just don't know how to tell Mommy, what? Well this is the second time that curiosity has struck Ashton, so he dip his sweet little baby hand in his diapee. As I am on the phone with my mom I mention that I smelt poop, well I just thought he must have been pooping in the other room. So after a minute or so I called his name, he came out of the kitchen with his hands behind his back, and looking a little concerned. As he is walking towards me I ask, "do you have poo poo?", he nods yes. Well before he gets all the way to me I realize there is a bigger problem. He has poo all over his hand, he has been digging in his diapee, GROSS!! So the sick and twisted blogger that I am I grab my camera (luckily it was only a reach away from me) and take a snap shot of the poo on him. I whisk him away to the bathtub and clean him up, it is OK to wash your kid in bleach right, just kidding, but I would feel better about it if I could. Several washing and wash clothes later and I still can't think that he is going to eat his lunch with those hands, NASTY!! So after all that is done I go and see if there is any poo in the kitchen where the crime was committed. And of course he had to do a doo doo painting on the leg of my kitchen table. OMG, why must little people do this. Well anyways, I think that was the grossest thing I have had to clean up as a Mommy, but I know that won't be the last, great.

Just Like His Daddy

Ashton is very fond of his Daddy and wants to do everything his Daddy does. However some of what he does seems to just run in his blood no matter if he wanted to do it or not. First he loves to look at magazines that have cars, dirt bikes and quads in them, go figure. The thing I absolutely think is so sweet is Ashton always crosses his feet, just like his Daddy. Whether he is in his car seat, on the couch or laying in his bed, it is in his blood, he can't help it.

Take A Picture It Last Longer

How very rare it is to see the kitchen table really clean and polished. And don't get me started on the rug underneath the table, after a couple of days the whole family could eat a four course meal under there, I love when I first vacuum it, everyone tries to be careful, but that doesn't last long . I would love to say that I clean it after each meal, but yeah right, I always get paged to do something else and that is not the hottest fire burning in the house if you know what I mean. So I thought I would take a picture because it will last longer, about five minutes of this being clean Ashton had his snack and all I have to say about that is CRUMBS EVERYWHERE and STICKY FINGERS. And the thing with Ashton is he doesn't just get the table gross he also gets the chair and the chair next to him and of course the floor. When is going to grow up already and eat like a grown up, lol.

Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson, I have never really heard of the guy except I know I have one of his songs on my playlist. Well Teresa has him all over her playlist and I visit her blog so often his music has grown on me. So much so that I bought his CD at Target the other day, I like it, you don't have to worry about what the words say when the kids are around, and very calming.

The Replacement

For those of you that I have talked to on the phone in the last two weeks you know my phone sucked. It was just disconnecting for no reason, over and over again, totally annoying. So this is the new and improved replacement. It has ALL the cool stuff on it, it might be a little to cool for me because this is one of the only phones I had to read the manual on. I really just got it so I can be cool like Teresa, lol.

Not Another Nite-Nite

What is a nite-nite some may be asking, it is the blue blanket that Ashton's snuggles with while relaxing, sucking his thumb or is in a uncomfortable place. We called it a silky but when he was around 16 months he named it nite-nite. I think because we always gave it to him when he went nite nite. So anyways, I started to notice that Jackson really likes to hold stuff when he is getting sleepy or sucking his thumb, so I went and bought a new looking nite nite so we wouldn't get confused with the other. He loves it, while he is awake he moves it in his hands feeling the fabric and when he is going to sleep he hangs on to it. I bought two as I know the addiction won't go away, so to save myself of loosing one or having to wash one, well a back up.

Seasonal Facelift

I was messing around with the layout of the blog today and thought "I want to change it up". I hopped on to "the cutest little blog on the block" and found a fall theme. I also put some of our pumpkin patch pictures on today and it looked so fall -ish (not a word) that I just change the whole thing. Oh yes, and the poll in the top right hand corner I thought it might be fun to change it every week or so,don't forget to answer while you are here.

Popsicles Are Good Even In the Cold

The ice cream man is still around, this evening it was way too cold for Popsicles, but Daddy didn't think so. So Popsicles for everyone.

After Riding

Misfortune

We went out riding today with my brother and Ricky and his family in Marysville. We unloaded everything which seems like it takes forever but it is really only like twenty minutes and the boys take off right away. I stay behind to try and get the little baby settled and Ashton distracted. Kelsey totally started off the day in a bad way (or at least I thought so) by running straight into Eric's bike while he was standing behind it, oh my goodness. Are we sure that she can handle this, to make me feel better I made her practice braking for like 10 minutes. So everyone was happy, I got to take a little ride. While I was out Daniel ran Eric's bike out of gas and had to walk it back to the trailer, sounds fun huh, not. Shortly after that all the boys went out. About 15 minutes later I was getting ready to go out and take some action shots on the camera for the blog to show Rick. Well before I get my helmet on here comes everyone, except Ricky. The first thing out of Daniel's mouth is "Ricky got hurt", oh great, I knew it couldn't have been that bad because he drove himself back. Well when he got there he was complaining about his wrist, it was already swelling fast. It clearly was in a lot of pain because Ricky just couldn't get settled. We decided that he should go to a doctor, everyone loaded everything back up (didn't we just get there), oh well. We haul everything back to Oroville and later that night he calls to tell Daniel that it might be broke in several spots. Misfortune sucks huh Ricky. Oh and the crappy part of the whole story is that Ricky wasn't on his bike, he was on Eric's, which sounds like it might be a real beast (watch out). Ricky next time listen to your Dad and BE CAREFUL. The top picture was from after the fall and seconds after he caught me taking it he gave me the bird, what I am documating what happened.

No Longer A Fav

The quad rider isn't a fav anymore, he has two broken hips and has been left for dead on the dirty kitchen floor for a whole day now. RIP quad rider.

Mommy Tweek

This is what I get when I really want to get stuff done, Mommy tweak. My dealer is all the way in Gridley, but they have a really convenient drive thru. And if the kids are good while the transaction is happening they get rewarded with a cookie, even if they haven't ate breakfast. I get this tweak for a great deal, all 16 oz. for just $4.20, I can hook you up if you want.

I Love The Winter Time

I love the winter time, but I hate to drive in the rain, walk in the rain, get kids in and out of the car in the rain, and I hate hate hate to grocery shop in the rain. But I love Winter.

Ashton Learns How To Pick His Nose

I really wanted a picture to go with this story but the timing didn't work, maybe next time because I am sure there will be a next time. Yesterday it happened, he was really concentrating on getting that boogie and pulling it out with precision, and happy when he finally had it stick to his finger. Ashton for now is grossed out by boogers, he hasn't figured out yet that it is fun to wipe them on his sisters or his brother, or to roll and flick them at Mommy. This is just one of his gross boy habits that the future holds. Donna I know this excites you knowing how much you love snot, lol.

Are You Really That Hungry Baby?

What do you think hungry or just for fun?

Ashton's Fav's

Day after day we clean Ashton's room before bed and the next morning all the same toys get pulled out. These are the fav's, a big truck to pull his 2 dirt bikes into, 3 quad's, a man to ride the bikes and quad's, lighting Mc queen, the Cheerios's big rig, and finally the rice burner that does wheelies. Now the dirt bike's and quad's have different noises from the truck and race car, he knows the difference. He even puts a ramp to the back of the truck to pull the bikes and quad's in (just like his Daddy), endless hours of fun.

Daniel's Poor Little Finger

I think this story is funny, however it is not funny to Daniel. He was walking out the front door and swung the door behind him to close. Well he thought his had was on the door frame outside (he was leaning over to put his shoes on) and it wasn't, it was in the door jam. The result was the door slamming his wee little pinkie in the door. Poor Baby, he wanted to go to the doctor but I talked him out of it.

Kayla And Ashton

These were taken a few weeks ago, but I just got them from Lis, too cute not to post.

By 8 A.M....

on work days this is what I feel like. (complements of the goats at bishop farm)

Can You Believe It

When I went to work this morning I didn't wake up the baby to feed him, wondering what would happen when he woke and was hungry, maybe this is how I will get him to take the bottle. Daniel called around 8:30, and the little guy was screaming and really hungry, "well you have to offer the bottle for him to take it". Daniel called me back about 15 minutes later and said "he took it". I couldn't be happier, finally, what was the turning point, who cares now, as long as he does it again. We now know that if he is hungry enough he will give in. Then later in the afternoon he was pretty fussy (maybe he was mad that he had to take the bottle, pay back) so I tried to put a plug in his mouth and he sucked it right in. If I could get him hooked on the plug instead of his thumb I would be thrilled. Big strides all in one day, exciting.

Bloopers
