Ok, Ok, Ok, I Couldn't Keep A Surprise

I know I am a little disappointed that I couldn't wait for the big reveal, but I did wait to tell them at the shelter. So this is how it went, for 1:40 I shopped at Pet smart with this floor clerk Kathy, she was great, like my personal shopper for the whole trip, anyways. With her help I got everything a dog may need, with a picky owner that is. So after that trip, I really wanted to tell the kids, not only that I was having to hide all the stuff. So it was 3:25 and I decided on a limb that if we went right now we could get there before the visiting hours were over at 4. So in the rain we rush over to Marysville, they keep asking were we are going and I keep telling them to see there Dad. So once we arrive, Kirsten reads the sign and says "are we getting a dog?" and I answer "no I told you we are never going to get a dog, I hate dog hair". So all sad and mopey we walk in to see all the dogs, I ask all them to stand together so I can document the trip. Then after that I say that is our dog you are standing in front of, and
they are in disbelief, they had to verify again with me that we ARE getting a dog,
and then they turn to show Jesse some love.
Jesse was so happy that someone was standing at her kennel petting her though the bars, it is so sad to see her in there knowing she really is ours now.
See even the paper says she is ADOPTED!!
Just a cute dog that needs a home.
Daniel wanted this buff guy, but he was adopted already also, and I wouldn't have picked him.
This was Kirsten's pick, Alaskin Husky.
And they liked Gunner too.
But Jesse is ours, only a few more days and she will be home.

Finally

Last year I had Ventura (the lawn guy) make these circles around the trees in the front yard to put flowers in. Well I couldn't make up my mind and they were left just dirt for nearly a year now. Finally I said just put whatever, and I came home Thursday evening to find them filled. They look so cute, they give the yard some color, which is nice. However, Jesse will soon be home, so I am glad I am not terribly attached, because they be gone soon, lol.

46 Weeks Old

Oh Baby Jack, how he loves to open and close doors, all doors. Bedroom doors, fridge doors, pantry doors, playhouse doors, and mostly cabinets. Loves it, he can entertain himself for 10 minutes easy, open, close, open, close. Maybe an engineer in the making who knows. He is so busy, he doesn't stop for anything but to snuggle a blanket on the floor or to eat. It is almost here, the big birthday, awww, I will be so sad.

SHHHHHHHH......

it is a surprise.
I am trying to soften in some area's of my life. So, we are getting a dog. Some reason's why you may ask, dog hair isn't going to hurt anyone, everyone in the house wants a dog, and I watched Marley and Me.
I thought about it for a few days before I said anything and then this morning I heard an advertisement on the radio for a dog at the shelter. I was interested so I had Daniel go take a peek first, then I went hours later. I got to pick since it is really going to be MY dog, I will be caring and spending the most time with it anyways.
Meet Jesse. She is a 8 month old black lab, and she is so sweet.
Her owners took her to the shelter because they couldn't give her what she needed, mostly time.
So this is my 5th kid, I said I was done, but I guess we needed one more to complete the family. We are waiting to tell the kids, it is going to be a GREAT surprise, they have been asking for years now. Daniel and I are so excited, we feel like we have really adopted a kid. So after she has her surgery and shots she will be able to come home, the bumber...not until Tuesday. Well I will try to keep quiet just for the thrill and photo opportunity when they kids find out it is our dog and she is staying. Wish me luck.

Kirsten's Box

Today I unpacked one of the two last boxes that I have never unpacked from moving out of the condo 5 years ago!!! Can you even believe it, there is a really good reason why I have waited till now, you wanna know. Well these last two boxes are filled with priceless dolls that were made for my girls by there Nana a.k.a Jaime my MIL. I haven't felt like I had a good spot to put them where the girls wouldn't mess with them until now. So Kirstens box was unpacked today, I surprised her with her room all clean (I know) and had some new (old) stuff out, she was happily surprised.
This is a picture of the very first doll or Teddy that Nana made Kirsten on her first Christmas in December 1998.
Everything you make is very appreciated and cherished.
Thank you Jaime

Do You Know The Best Way To Eat Corn Bread?

Well I do.
1. you need is a glass of cold milk, some cornbread that is still warm, and a big spoon.
2. then submerge the corn bread, breaking it up a little . 3. let soak for about 2 minutes and then scoop out with the spoon Thanks Pa, for telling me the best way to eat corn bread (even though the eggs tear up my stomach)

Playdate With The Vasquez/Beavers Folks

The last few times we made plans with Donna someone was always sick, or I was having issues, you know the stuff that happens when you are living your life, anyways, so we finally got to get together. She had an eye appointment in the mall so we just met her there, and to my surprise Miss Teresa was there, which was cool, I guess, lol, you know I love you girl. So we had some lunch and then let the kids have some fun in a play area. Boy how times have changed, I was ok with Jack crawling around on the nasty germ infested ground were people walk!!!! But really, he is mobile now, he is not just going to sit on my lap all content like anymore. So just get over it, it wont hurt him to have some cooties right?

Here he is standing himself on a bug stool, and loving being able to do what he wants.

Teresa loving on Jack. And he stands!!! Not, Teresa's legs are propping him up, but isn't he cute.
Teresa wanted all 5 of her kids to get on the pedals of this flower while she
stood above them to take the picture. A true photographer huh, what she will do for a good pic.
I am so glad we were able to come out, it was nice seeing all of you, and that means you too Brian.
( And Donna, I totally didn't get any pictures of my girls, or Jaiden, we suck)

45 Weeks Old

This week Jack has stood to his feet when pulling up, and now that is all that he does. Pull up on my leg, the chair, the wipe container, the bath tub (scary), the couch, the rock in the park just anything and everything. He has bitten me, by accident I believe, we'll see how many more times it just happens to happen. If he is sad, he crawls around the house till he finds me, yes this means I leave my baby unattended, what can I say, all that will happen is Ashton beating him up. His teeth are just about all the way in, there is one that is taking longer then the rest and he now also wont poop in public. He waits till we get in the house and 2 minutes later, poo aroma in the air. It is happening so fast, he is becoming more like a little boy then a baby.

Every Thursday...

we drive down to Vacaville, the good thing about it is that we get to see Dad and Lisa, and even some extras if we are early. This week we did an extra stop at Mrs. Cindy's for 45 minutes, it was nice to see her and Aylssa. Anyways, while we were at Dad's Kelsey was swinging on the swing and it totally broke while she was mid air. I didn't see it but Lisa said she looked like a trapeze women hanging on to the one good side, and it all was in slow motion, and was kinda funny (Grandma didn't laugh at her, but it was funny). Kelsey however didn't think it was funny at all, she was balling her head off.
Here is a picture of the scene,
the boo boo,
and the victim being escorted away to receive medical attention. While that was going on the other two little people were keeping busy in Grandma's garden fighting over a little bouncy ball. My Dad loves babies, especially when they are his grandbabys, but Jack isn't so found of Papa, I am sure that will change in time.
So once it gets to cold to be outside we move in doors. Ashton was driving around the house like a race car, a really loud annoying one, and Papa chased him.
Grandma made cookies with the girls.
Papa felt tolerated by Jack while he was feeding him his baba, even though Jack wouldn't make eye contact.
Then we all crash in what is soon to be Kay's room again, we may have to stay in a hotel next week, oh no.
I get to be beat up all night by Ashton, but I do so love it.
And lil Jack, he dosn't care where he sleeps, as long as he has a blankie to snuggle.

44 Weeks Old

It happened, Jackson is trying to keep up with his older brother, and Ashton loves to leave him in the dust. Poor guy, I am sure it will be like this for years. And another note, Jackson is pulling up onto everything, still haven't made it to the feet but I sure it is coming.

Easter At The Statham's

Sunday morning we headed out to Galt for a Easter gathering with the Statham's. We had a great dinner, the first BBQ of the year, followed by an egg hunt of course.
Ready, set...
GO!
Ashton is still so casual about it, until I start to freak out and tell him to hurry, then he really doesn't see any of the eggs, I need to just chill out.
The little ones had eggs on the reserve since you know all the big kids would take them if you didn't.
Daddy watching his kids have fun in the sun.
Jackson in the grass again.
Ashton was pleased with his selection.
As soon as the big kids were done with the hunt the headed straight into the house to start "the trading". It went ok this time, however, when this happens in our house someone is always mad about what the end up with.
Auntie Dani and Jackson, she really does love baby's, she should have another.
And of course Madie wanted to hold him to, she loves lil Jack, who doesn't.
I am so glad I invited myself to your house, we had a great time.

Happy Easter
