My Baby Is Home

It was quite a struggle to get this guy out of the sick motel. He was vomiting from all the meds they were giving him and not keeping ANYTHING down, including water. He really can't just stay in here all nice and cozy, we need to go home, and I was fighting for it. So last night I went in to the the sick motel and made a scene, I left and returned at 8:00 p.m. with all four of the kids. When I walked into the room the nurse said "I have strict orders not to let him leave unless he can hold down liquids and pain medication, and he also needs to get to the bathroom by himself". Great that won't happen fast enough I am sure. The kids and I hung out for about 15 minutes before the little guy started to brake down. I got all my stuff and little people together and told Daniel we will be waiting for you in the van, so handle your business. Well finally at 10 pm gave up, we wasn't answering the phone or my text messages, my kids were all over the van asleep, I needed to leave. I call Lisa in desperation for advice, I just really felt helpless. After my sob story she decided that she would leave Napa were she was having a work conference and drive to Oroville that night. This would allow me to stay at the hospital until all the business was handled. She arrived at 12:30 and has taken care of the kids all day. Thank you so much Lisa, you have no idea how much I appreciate your help, I so needed it.
After not taking any meds he wasn't getting sick anymore. I started to give him saltines and water, let that sit for 15 minutes and do some more. Then we got brave and got him out of bed walked to the bathroom and sat him down for a sponge bath. After that he stood up to pee, hug deal. I helped him with lunch, soup and pudding and he held it all down, groovy. But what was crazy is an hour later they brought a solid lunch and said he needed to eat that also, luckily he did, well most of it, I was so starving that I ate some. They finally discharged him after that. Daniel is resting in our bed with way better room service then he was getting at the sick motel. I am glad to have him home and close the tab at the motel. I am so thankful that he is fine and all will heel. He is still going to let me sell those quads, so I really think he gets it now.
Oh when I checked with the business office this morning we were up to $17,000. Holy Cow, I want to throw up just hearing it.

Daniel's Accident

Sunday morning I went to work, I got home about 10 o'clock. Grandma had changed her mind about staying till Monday and was ready to go home. The girls were planning on going fishing with my Dad on his boat so Daniel and I thought, "if we asked Kathy/Robert to watch the boy's we could go riding by our self's". Good idea, I dropped off the boys at there house in Oroville at 2:15, I drove over to the Clay Pit's were I was meeting Daniel. He had already been riding for a little while by the time I got there. I get all my stuff on including my new iPOD under my helmet, can't wait to try it out, however I was a little annoyed that I can't hear anything going on around me. Ricky pulls up shortly before we go out for a cruise. So we take off together, after a few minutes of riding I tell Daniel I want to take a movie of him for the blog. So he drove over to a straight away and said to film him coming towards me, OK doesn't sound REALLY CRAZY. So I stop riding and pull the camera out, I wave to start riding towards me, he really is going fast by the time he gets to me, probably about 50 mph, he ran though all of his gears. As he passes I follow him for a couple seconds with the camera, and then turn back around. I start looking around trying to see where he went and I can't find him nor can I her his bike (which is crazy loud). Then I see these two kids pointing down in a ditch by were I saw Daniel last and then they start waving me over, I just stare in disbelief. OMG, you know that feeling when you instantly feel sick because you know something is wrong, it hit my like a ton of bricks. I ride over there hop off the my quad and look down about 10 feet, and there lays my hubby. I can see the fear in his eyes and concern in his face looking up at me. I turn to the kid and ask him if he can ride back and tell the guy in the silver ford that Daniel had an accident and he needs to bring the truck out here to get him, seconds later he was gone. I slide down the side of this ditch and look at him, I don't know who is more scared me or him. For the most part I have been very sheltered of tragedy and especially with the people I love and care about. I am in total shock, all I kept thinking is I have no idea of what to do in an emergency, how will I know if he is really hurt. By this time a couple of other riders stopped to see what was going on and asked if I wanted any help and I said "I have no idea of what I am doing can you please come and help" and they did. The kids that saw Daniel wreck had came back to the crash after trying to find Ricky and said they couldn't find a silver truck but there mom who is a EMT is coming out with her truck. While we are waiting Daniel is gasping for air and complaining that he can't breath and wants to take his helmet off. I was really nervous to do that just in case something was wrong with his neck, but the man helping said if he can't breathe take it off. I took if off and saw his sad scared face even clearer, I laid his head on my lap, he looked up and said to me, "I'm so sorry Baby". What is he sorry about, long story short is we have no insurance right now and I have been worrying him and he knows now he should have listened. Finally the EMT gets there, the men helping me get Daniel up, he was in incredible pain, and everyone there is for sure that he broke some ribs. We get to the lady's truck and she asked if we wanted an ambulance to come out, Daniel says yes and I say a BIG NO!! You don't die of broken bones, I will drive him to the hospital myself. I ask those kids if they can ride the quad back to the truck for me and they said they could, so I get back on my quad and start to ride back. I notice that she stops so I pull next to her and she says that she can't go any further, it is a liability, OMG you have to be kidding. We are in all terrain, it takes a LONG time to get trucks out here and of course we are in the far corner. As we are riding back I am so scared to ride I almost don't want to, but Daniel needed help so I had too. All of a sudden I come up on a huge puddle/stream, I don't want to cross so I turn around and my quad stops. The kids stop to ask what is wrong I say I must be out of gas, I have never had this happen. While I am standing there in disbelief that this this happening I asked the other kid to go over to that hummer, it is Daniel's friend Bill that we were meeting and tell him Daniel had an accident. As I am standing there waiting, Bill gets in Daniel's truck and drives out to get him. The other kid comes back with gas, he pulls the top off and says your tank is full, it is, I don't know what is wrong, I am new at this and totally in shock, please help. So I still don't know why but they got it started just fine. They lead me around the puddle and I raced to my phone to call Ricky to have him come back out and take care of the truck and the quads. By the time Daniel finally gets there Robert and Ricky show up. Bill helps Daniel get out of the back seat of the truck and he slides into the van. Ricky stays to put quads on truck and drive the truck back to house, Robert leads me to the hospital. On the way there I ask what happened and Daniel explains," I was trying to show off for the camera, I went though all my gears, I came up on that little hill and realized that there was a large ditch, I tired to lock up all my brakes but couldn't stop in time, so I let go of the bike while I was falling". The kid that saw him said he fell in a u shape with his arms and legs kinda out and fell on his back. By talking with him I can hear how disappointed in himself he is, and how sorry he is that he didn't listen to me. We arrive at the hospital, Robert helps me get him inside. They do some cat scans and find number 5 and 6 ribs are broken and a disc in his back is cracked. As of now he is still in hospital, I am about to crazy thinking of the bill. I will be taking him home today whether they think so or not.
This video shows his break lights and seconds after that is when he crashed. You know after you do something really dumb you say "well if I would have just", well if he would have just went the other way nothing would have happen, but he didn't, darn. I am just glad that he didn't stay on the bike, he would have slammed into the wall and I think things would have been a lot worse. The picture of his back it is hard to tell but towards the middle of his back you can see the ribs protruding out a little. I just thank God he is alive and will be able to heal so I can beat the *#!* out of him once he gets better. I no longer want to ride and I will not allow girls to anymore, Daniel understands. I do believe that the quads will be getting a new owner once we get the pinks in the mail, this is not the time in our lives when we can have these types of things happen.

iPOD nano

Daniel back in December had special ordered a sub-woffer for the surround sound that he got for Christmas and never picked it up. So after how can't tell you how many times of nagging about it he went back to FRY's and got the store credit. So I requested him bring me home a iPOD. I love love love it, my favorite use for it is when I wake up before everyone I can do the dishes and listen to my music really loud and it doesn't disturb anyone, cool huh.

Sweet Baby Face

Game Day

Oh I can't wait till Saturday's are back to normal. I do love the girls being in cheer and seeing them every week is rewarding, but foreals, it is a lot of work with the two little guys. Next year should be a little better, maybe, at least there will be no bottles and one less person in diapers.

Pick It Buddy Pick It

Grandma Lisa must have read the past blog about Ashton learning how to pick his nose and not having a picture for it, so she snapped away when Ashton was performing the procedure at the game on Saturday. It was really really windy and I know I had huge crusty boogers and so I know he did too. He apparently doesn't like the feeling and was taking care of it.

English Class Sophomore Year

English class sophomore year this guy sat behind me, a big guy, he wore Anchor Blue pants that were super baggy, he always had some kind of blue t-shirt on and always a hat. He was the class clown and was always late (we had off campus lunch, never a good thing). A couple days after school started this guy would always have his friend Janet come and talk to me while in class. Basicly she would hint the entire time that that guy liked me, and at that time I liked someone else. Well that guy wouldn't stop, he just kept flirting with me everyday. I started to see how cute he was and that he had a great personality. We would write notes back and fourth in class all period long(I still have all of them in a vans shoe box), this went on for about a month until one day, October 11, 1996 he asked if I wanted to be his girl, and I most certainly did. I am sure by now you figured out who that big guy was, my hubby Daniel. Never would I have thought that the guy behind me in Mrs.Edwards class was going to be the father of my four children, my best friend and my husband. We have been though so many tuff times in our lifes and all it did was bring us closer, I feel truly blessed. It still can make me cry when I think of all the times that we have made it though. I love you Baby, and couldn't imagine my world without you in it.

That's G.G.'s Bed Silly

G.G. (my Grandma the kids great Grandma)is staying with us for a few days. I had made her bed on the areo bed in Ashton's room and shortly after that sent him to bed, when I took Grandma to her room there he was passed out right in Grandma's spot. Who wouldn't want to sleep with a kid that has horrible thumb sucking breath, kicks you, talks in his sleep and could possibly leak on you, I would.

Jackson's First Solid Food

My wee little baby has been going though some serious changes in the last week. My milk is pretty much gone, I figured this out because he was still starving after I nursed him. Great formula is just another expense, a big one too. He has been having to take a bottle more than he would like to, but what am I to do? This has totally messed with his routine and what he is used to, he started to wake up in the middle of the night when he has been sleeping 9-11 hours for the last 6 weeks. So I thought maybe a little cereal before the last bottle of the day might help, I sure hope so, I don't do well with waking up in the middle of the night. After cereal is the bottle and then nursing him, he still loves it. It is so sad, after eating and you know his little tummy is full he barres his head in my chest wanting the good stuff, now how do you say no to that, I don't. After a little of Mommy he is out. I hope after a week of this he will adjust.

Ashton Follow's Direction's

At nap time and bedtime Ashton is suppose to pick up his toys and put away in his room, so that we can somewhat maintain a orderly home,or try at least. I had asked him to pick up his toys, so he did just that and put them in a little pile on the couch. He was so proud of himself too, yet I am wondering why he didn't take them to his room and put them away like we normally do. Well once I started to think about it I didn't say take to your room I said pick them up. Boy I better use good choice of words if I want it to get done right. Typical man huh, lol.

School Pic's Turned Out Great

All the prep work that we did to Kelsey on school picture day paid off. She did a great job with brushing the hair and pulling only a little behind her ear and the smile looks so sweet, good job Kel's.

Soon To Be Newlyweds

How sweet are this pictures of Kayla and Micheal, so sweet.

17 Weeks Old

Jackson is reaching for things that you put in front of him. But what he really enjoys about this is chewing on toys, umm, baby's love to put stuff in there mouth.

Ashton Being Sweet To His Baby

Ashton just can't wait till he can really play with his brother, you just know it. I highly doubt that he is going to be this nice for long, I know what it is like being a younger sibling, HELL. Love you bro.

My Little Sack Of Potatoes

I have been trying this sling out since Jackson was born, and this was the first time it seemed like he was in the right way. It felt like a was carrying a little sack of potatoes, (excuse the muffin top, gross).

I Feel Special

I hear wedding bells, my little sister Kayla called and asked if I would be a braids maid. "Ahhh of course I would love to", I feel specail that she even thought of me. Love you Kay. Boy I better get on the loose weight wagon, or I will be unhappy about how I look, you women know how that goes.

Dinner With Dad And Eric

I took a little drive to Rocklin while the girls were at cheer practice to deliver my camcorder to my brother Eric to barrow while he is on vacation. He is driving to see my Mom and taking the scenic route and wanted to catch some on camera. I had fun with you guys, I hope you have a fun and SAFE trip Eric-e-bo (nickname?). Don't you love the picture of Ashton just barely getting any water out of his bent straw, and please, we offered to help but NO he can do it by himself.

Old Bloopers

I love love love to look at old pictures on the computer. I found these bloopers, some are from before Ashton was born, I thougt I would share. My husband just can't hold back, silly boy.

Countdown

This is an official countdown to when my Mommy is coming to CA. She recently moved to South Dakota and boy do I really miss her. When she lived here in CA if we wanted to see her we just went to her house, well now she is so far away we can't just go see her. It is a big ordeal now to arrange a visit, I hate it. My mom is one of my best friends (runner up behind my hubby) and sometimes it just makes me want to cry. However I normally talk to my Mom at least 3 times a day, most of the time more. It does make me feel better, but it is just not the same knowing that the option to see her isn't there. So she will be at MY HOUSE in 9 days. I am really excited to see her, (I am excited to see you Mommy. can't wait).

WHY!!!

What is it that makes a little kid want to put there hand in their diaper, and with poop in it of all times? Is it because it feels weird, smells funny, they really want to take a bath but just don't know how to tell Mommy, what? Well this is the second time that curiosity has struck Ashton, so he dip his sweet little baby hand in his diapee. As I am on the phone with my mom I mention that I smelt poop, well I just thought he must have been pooping in the other room. So after a minute or so I called his name, he came out of the kitchen with his hands behind his back, and looking a little concerned. As he is walking towards me I ask, "do you have poo poo?", he nods yes. Well before he gets all the way to me I realize there is a bigger problem. He has poo all over his hand, he has been digging in his diapee, GROSS!! So the sick and twisted blogger that I am I grab my camera (luckily it was only a reach away from me) and take a snap shot of the poo on him. I whisk him away to the bathtub and clean him up, it is OK to wash your kid in bleach right, just kidding, but I would feel better about it if I could. Several washing and wash clothes later and I still can't think that he is going to eat his lunch with those hands, NASTY!! So after all that is done I go and see if there is any poo in the kitchen where the crime was committed. And of course he had to do a doo doo painting on the leg of my kitchen table. OMG, why must little people do this. Well anyways, I think that was the grossest thing I have had to clean up as a Mommy, but I know that won't be the last, great.
